Friends of Oleta River State Park Butterfly Garden Super Planting Event - Amazing Volunteer Day @Oleta!
We are going to revitalize our Butterfly Garden!! This will be a fabulous day of planting with the Friends of Oleta in collaboration with County Commissioner Sally Heyman and Bioplanet USA. The Miami New Construction Show is generously donating about 150 native plants to Oleta River State Park's butterfly habitat area...The Friends Tent will be adjacent to parking lot 6 - where we will sign in all volunteers and guests.

Festivities and planting will take place in the butterfly garden (please walk west from parking lot 6 and left after the bridge). A pre-planting ceremony will begin at approximately 9:30AM. Please wear good planting/weeding shoes, sunscreen, and gardening gloves :) The Friends events are sustainable and promote recycling - so great if you can bring a reusable mug or cup!
